Today on the Gratitude Cafe, Sue is chatting with Adele Spraggon, who is an award winning author as well as an international speaker and trainer. As a behavioral change expert, she explores topics that illustrate the potential of the human brain and its ability to make optimal choices that reduce conflict and achieve goals in all areas of our lives. “It’s all in your head,” she says, “and that’s a good thing because with the right brain pattern most of the problems can be overcome.” They spent the hour talking about brain health and how to get out of your brain patterns. 

Adele and Sue talk about goals and how our brain helps us reach our goals {or how it hinders us reaching those goals!}. Adele says, “It doesn’t have to be this effortful. It can be a lot easier to reach our goals.”

Adele “We are living in an age of complete disruption.” In that disruption though, we have never had more studies done on neuroscience. Did you know your brain knows what action you are going to take within 7 second of you doing that action?

If our brain knows what we are doing before we do it, how do we know what the right goal or action is that we should do. Repattern your brain away from “Is that the right thing to do?” and go toward, thinking about if the action worked for you to take the optimal next step.

Sue and Adele go further into the brain science and how we can calm our nervous system down to change our direction. Problems {or opportunities} arise constantly in life and we need to know what is determining that problem. If you are faced with problems, your brain patterns are not aligned with what is going on in the world. It has to start internally. 

Sue and Adele discuss the left hemisphere and right hemisphere and how they control our brain patterns. If you aren’t reaching your goals, it’s because your left hemisphere doesn’t know what steps to take. All of the answers live in the right hemisphere. In order to achieve our goals we have to surrender to what the left hemisphere is telling us. Let go of that control and that understanding and let the right hemisphere take control.
